🎉 You're Invited to Celebrate Northern Bobwhite Day with Lee County Middle School West 7th Graders on Team Force! 🎉
Join us on February 23th as we commemorate Northern Bobwhite Day in Lee County! We're thrilled to extend an invitation to you to join us in celebrating Georgia's state game bird and raising awareness for the conservation efforts crucial to its survival.

During our celebration, students and teachers from Lee County Middle School West's 7th-grade Team Force will provide an update on our ongoing program and share the impactful work they have accomplished over the past three years. From habitat restoration to educational initiatives, we'll showcase our dedication to preserving the natural environment for future generations.
Additionally, representatives from Quail Forever will be present to deliver an update on quail research in the state, shedding light on the latest advancements and challenges in conservation efforts.
Moreover, we'll be recognizing outstanding contributions to conservation with a few special awards. These accolades highlight individuals or groups who have shown exceptional dedication and innovation in safeguarding our natural heritage.
This day holds special significance as we pay homage to Herbert Stoddard, whose pioneering work in understanding the relationship between longleaf pine forests and quail populations paved the way for modern conservation efforts. Stoddard's birthday, February 24th, 1889, serves as a fitting occasion to honor his legacy and the beloved Northern Bobwhite.
