Free Youth Invasive Yellow Bass Fishing Event

FEBRUARY 11, 2023 From 7:00 am – 1:00 pm

- Offered to all youth ages 5 - 17yrs

- Must pre register at the link below (150 spots available)

- Registration starts at 7am-9am to sign waivers and register (Fishing starts at 9am)

- Lunch and Hot Chocolate will be provided to all participants after contest

- Prizes awarded to EVERYONE

- Prizes will be listed day of contest

- Warming shelter will be available

- Registration and official weigh-in will be at Gomsrud Park (224 W Lair RD, Fairmont)

- Younger participants must be accompanied by an adult

Rules:

- Must Provide own equipment (shelter, rods, auger, bait, electronics and heat)

- MCPF is not responsible for holes or equipment

- Fishing will be allowed on any of the 5 lakes within the city of Fairmont

- Must be present to claim prizes

- Fishing to start at 9am and ends at 1pm

- Weigh-in starts at 1pm

- Participants are only allowed to register 1 fish

- Only Yellow Bass will be considered for weigh-in (No rough fish)

- All prizes awarded will be determined by the Pheasants Forever Committee

- Anglers must comply with all State Fishing Regulations

- Any angler caught or suspected of cheating will be disqualified immediately from the contest
