The Johnson County Chapter of Pheasants Forever is hosting its annual Youth Mentor Hunt on Saturday, March 19th. Legacy Acres, south of Parnell, Iowa, will host this year's event. This event is free and marketed to individuals between the ages of 12-17, especially those with limited opportunity to learn to hunt. The event will begin with shooting and upland hunting safety instruction. Participants will be provided a PF hat, vest, eye & ear protection, as well as shotguns and ammo. A mentored hunt with guides will follow. Once registered, waivers will be emailed to attendees to complete.
