Women's Mentored Dove Hunts
Join the Missouri River Valley Chapter of Quail Forever for their upcoming free mentored dove hunts for women! Women and girls ages 16+ are invited to learn the about and participate in dove hunting, with experienced mentors. You must attend the Pre-Hunt Clinic on September 16th at 6pm where you will learn the basics of dove hunting and practice shotgun shooting skills needed to be successful. All training will be with experienced instructors, previous hunting or shotgun shooting skills are not required. The clinic will be held at the trap range on Warco Rd, just off Hwy 47, south of the Washington Missouri airport and north of the Missouri river bridge at Washington MO. Details of the hunt and hunt times on the 19th and/or 20 of September will be discussed and assigned at the clinic. Actual hunts will be held in New Haven, MO on the September 19th and/or 20th. Spots are limited and completing a free ticket registration by changing ticket quantity from "0" to "1" then clicking on the "Get Tickets button that will appear above in the box and then clicking on the check out is required and information entered for each attending attendee/hunter. (no credit card or credit card info is needed to register for attending)
Requirements:
For Attending;
*Female
*Age; 16+
Prior to hunting;
*Be Hunter Education Certified OR born prior to January 1, 1967 OR purchase a Missouri Apprentice Hunter Authorization
*Missouri Small Game Hunting Permit
*Missouri Migratory Bird Hunting Permit
(Permits and Authorization can be purchased online at https://mdc-web.s3licensing.com or anywhere Missouri permits are sold)
Ammunition will be provided for all attendees/hunters (12, 16, or 20 gauge.)
Soft drinks and water and snack food provided.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their shotgun, eye, and ear protection if they have it to the clinic. Items including shotguns will be provided for those without.
