Calling all nature enthusiasts, young and old! Join us for an unforgettable experience at the fifth annual Great Georgia Pollinator Census on August 18th and 19th, 2023. Become a vital part of our statewide effort to count and learn about the essential pollinator insects and the native plantscapes that sustain them. This is an opportunity to make a real impact on pollinator conservation while immersing yourself in the beauty of nature and participating in citizen science.
πΏ All Ages Welcome: Whether you're a seasoned naturalist or just starting your journey into the world of pollinators, all are welcome to participate! You can count pollinators in your very own backyard or be a part of our FREE guided census event at the Gaskins Forest Education Center. Drop in anytime during the event from 10 am to 2 pm on both Friday and Saturday, and let's work together to protect these vital species.
π Brief Training and Ongoing Support: Worried about not knowing where to start? Don't be! We'll kick off the event with a brief training session around 10 am, ensuring you have all the knowledge you need to participate confidently. Plus, our team will be on hand to provide ongoing support throughout the census, guiding you through the process.
π₯€ Drinks, Snacks, and Fun: We've got you covered on the essentials! Enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks during the census to keep you refreshed and energized as you embark on this exciting adventure to protect our pollinators.
