Central New York mentored Youth Pheasant Hunt
We will be meeting at the Pathfinder Fish and Game Club (116 Crescent Road in Fulton, NY) at 7:30 am on your respective hunt day. Each youth will need to be accompanied afield by a responsible adult who is over the age of 21 and possesses a valid NYS Hunting License. The youth and their adult partner will go afield alongside a volunteer dog handler and their bird dog to pursue pheasant at a designated field location. It is a great time in the field, where our youth get to hunt pheasant with the companionship of dogs and learn about the sport of bird hunting. Upon their success they will also learn how to properly dress out the harvest.
All participating youth hunters shall be between the ages of twelve and fifteen and must possess a current NYS hunting license in order to hunt (please understand that a youth hunter can not be someone that is the age of sixteen on the date of the hunt). Youth and adults alike will also need to have hunter orange, shotgun, appropriate dress and footwear to go afield. We'll have pheasant load ammunition on hand for the youth.
