First Annual Cayuga Chapter Pheasants Forever Sporting Clays Shoot
Please join the Cayuga area chapter of Pheasants Forever for our first annual Sporting Clays fundraiser. The purpose of this event is for the members of Cayuga Pheasants Forever Chapter #973 and their guests and friends to attend a fun, preseason sporting clays shoot, enjoy the company, and learn about the chapter’s upcoming plans for 2021/2022 for increasing pheasant hunting opportunities in our area.
The shoot will involve 50 clay targets and finish with a lunch hot off the grill at Noon. For those unfamiliar with sporting clays, this sport is similar to skeet except that it involves unrestricted range of angle, height, speed and distance and occurs in a “hunting setting” (fields, forest, swamp). Bring some extra cash to practice a few shots before you enter the course.
Bring your own shotgun and shells and comfortable walking shoes. If you are having trouble finding shells, plan to come but let the organizers know one week in advance of the shoot. This event will occur rain or shine.
