Girls, Gun Dogs, and Gear! Join us for an informative and fun day at the shotgun range! Our day will start off with a hands on learning session demonstrated by ER VET Jake Myers on how to respond to trauma and injury in the field for your four legged hunting partner. Jake is an avid upland bird hunter and ER Vet, and understands both sides of hunting dog injuries and their owners responses. Jake will walk us through and demonstrate the most common field injuries for our dogs. This is an invaluable opportunity to be prepared for what could possibly happen when in the uplands with your favorite hunting partner.
Following Jake's presentation, we will be showing off and discussing our favorite pieces of upland gear over a break and lunch. Bring your favorite piece of upland gear for a chance to win a great prize! Then, after lunch, it's off to the shooting range for some practice at shooting clays, and an Annie Oakley shoot off! New shooters encouraged to attend!
Event cost is $20 for Pheasants Forever members and $40 for non members, and includes lunch, gun range fee and clays. Your entry automatically qualifies you for entry into our end of year drawing for a $500 Cabela's gift card too! And if that's not enough, bring a friend who has never been to one of our Women on the Wing events and we'll thank you with a $25 gift card!
