Interested in trying upland hunting but don’t know where to start? This course is for you!
Snake River Quail Forever and Little Trapper have partnered to teach wing shooting and hunting skills to new adult hunters. Topics addressed include eye dominance, gun fit, gun mount, foot position, stance, swing, analyzing target presentations and matching them with the right technique, safe gun handling, shooting over dogs and more.
The class will meet at Rock Creek Ranch, a Little Trapper Club, on the following dates: 6/25/23, 7/9/23, 7/23/23, 8/6/23
and 8/13/23 from 8:30 am to 10:30 am.
Students aged 18 and over will provide the following equipment:
*Shotgun (a limited number of rentals and loaners are available).
*Ammunition (7/8oz., 1oz. or 1 1/8oz. target ammunition containing No. 8 or No. 7 1/2 shot). Have 75 rounds of ammunition available per session. Ammunition is available for purchase at the club.
*Eye protection
*Hearing protection
*A method of carrying shells on person (shell bag or vest).
*Sturdy footwear
