Join us for a guided quail hunt in the long leaf pine forest at the Old Tortoise Hunt Club, the hunt club is located next to the Apalachicola National Forest Quail Enhancement Area. Each year we host an outreach hunt with the help of local Quail Forever members and their bird dogs to take our participants on a walking bobwhite quail hunt. If you have never been on a quail hunt you are in for a real treat!
The day will start with an introduction to gun and hunting safety, with an opportunity to shoot clay pigeons to warm up for the hunt. After our safety briefing and warm up session you will participate in guided quail hunt. Upon conclusion of the hunt we will have a demonstration on cleaning the birds harvested and you can take them home with you to eat.
Lunch provided prior to hunt.
