Banquet Season is officially upon us! If you are interested in helping us put together our 2024 Banquet in March, we would love to have you join us this Thursday. There are lots of roles that we need volunteers for including help with Auctions, fundraising, games and giveaways, marketing and day-of set up.
Join us this Thursday for our December meeting and an incredible chance to hear from our guest speaker, Naomi Hersh, the NE Regional Director of the Colorado Trappers & Predator Hunters association.
Naomi has generously agreed to share some of her knowledge of various traps and trapping practices as well as ways that we as bird hunters can coexist safely in the field including ways to release common traps and keep your dog safe. Naomi is also an avid predator hunter and houndsman and will be able to share some insight on how wildcat hunting works in Colorado and speak to her experiences tracking wild cats with her hounds. As hunting dog enthusiasts, this should be an incredible opportunity for all of us to learn more about hunting with dogs and expand our knowledge of hunting practices in Colorado.
Naomi grew up in Red Feather, Northwest of Fort Collins. She has been in the outdoors since as long as she can remember. From rockhounding, hunting, fishing, trapping and running hounds, she has experienced a lot of what the outdoors has to offer. She finds sharing her passions is the best chance she has to keep them around for future generations to enjoy. Therefore, she became a hunter education and firearms instructor, and got involved in many organizations. Currently she is the NE director of Colorado Trapper and Predator Hunter Association, holds a board position with United Houndsmen of Colorado, and found a wonderful career with Sportsmen's Alliance. She loves watching people of all ages discover things that all of our forefathers knew well, and she can't wait to share her passion for trapping and predator hunting with all of us.
