BHA & PHEASANTS FOREVER VETERAN UPLAND 101 EVENT
Pheasants Forever, and Back Country Hunters and Anglers are partnering to jointly host a learn to upland hunt event for veterans on the Great Plains.

Owned by Ken Korkow, Marine Corps Veteran and winner of the Navy Cross for his actions during the 77 day attack on the the Khe Sanh combat post in Vietnam. Kens ranch was created as a haven for veterans experiencing the anxiety and stress of transitioning from the Military to civilian world.
BHA AFI and PF is offering 3 days of hunting with lodging and all meals provided. Participants must purchase their own travel, and hunting license. Participants will Arrive anytime after noon on December 8th for and evening meet and greet and dinner. The morning of the 9th we will have a Pheasant hunt in groups of 4 or 5 focusing on habitat identification and field firearm safety. In the afternoon we will learn about prairie restoration and the mission of BHA and Pheasants Forever. On the 10th we will focus on wing shooting in the morning and working in a larger team in the field. In the afternoon we are back on the prairie learning about working dogs and how to help the dogs be successful. On the 11th we are putting it all together and trying to fill bag limits.
This event is capable of supporting non-ambulatory hunters.
As the slots are limited for this event, PF and BHA will be running a selection of signed up participants to fill the 15 spots available.

Cooler and ziplocks for birds
Good walking boots
Bird vest
12 gauge shotgun
Gloves
4 boxes of #4 or #5 Shells
Orange hat
Shooting glasses
Weather appropriate clothing
