Have you ever wanted to take your dog to a field trail but don’t know where to start or what to do? Have you always wanted to own a bird dog, but don't know where to get started?   Then this event is exactly what you need. 

The Big Bluestem Chapter of Quail Forever along with Flying Feathers Guide Service is hosting a Field Trial Clinic on April 10th, 2021. 

Event Details: 
  • Learn about the different types of trials and how field trials work
  • Bring your dog and run them in a mock trial with other beginners
  • Get feedback from experienced handlers and field trial judges
  • Advanced training technique demonstrations by professional trainers
  • Introduction to bird dogs and how to get started
  • Lunch for all attendees

Event Requirements: 
  • Participants MUST have taken and passed Hunter’s Safety Class by ODWC or another state, and if over 16, must have an OK hunting license
  • Dogs running in the field trial must be gun broke and have some experience hunting
  • All dogs running in the trial must have a training collar or GPS collar
    • Attendees must provide their own collar 
  • Previous shotgunning experience is required. 
  • Attendees must provide their own blaze orange vest and/or hat, suitable shotgun, eye protection, and shotgun shells.

Directions to Flying Feathers Guide Service: 
Take HWY 75 North towards Copan. 
Turn Right or East on HWY 10
Drive for 2 miles and turn Left or North on N 4000 Rd
Drive for 1 mile to 700 Rd and turn Right or  East on 700 RD
Drive for approx .5 miles and entrance to Flying Feathers will be on the Right of South side of 700 RD.  
Follow signs to registration location for the event
