Shooting Sports Event
The Glacial Ridge Chapter (Pope County) of Pheasants Forever will hold a Day on the Range target shooting fundraiser at the Glenwood Gun and Trap Range. This Sunday afternoon event, is a great way to support our pheasant hunting heritage and MAHS ShootingTeam! This fun for all, family friendly event will have something for all ages. Bring your rifles, pistols, shotguns, and ammo. Targets and ear plugs will be provided.
 Enjoy a picnic style barbequed meal. The chapter takes great pride in selecting quality prizes that won’t collect dust in your basement. This event will take the place of the annual banquet and will observe social distancing guidelines. Please make plans to attend!

Glacial Ridge PF dollars at work!

Over the past 17 years your Chapter has: helped acquire 2,347 acres of public land, leveraging on average $20 for every Chapter dollar; trained over 450 youth through youth events and mentored hunts; awarded the Matt Chan Memorial scholarship to 8 deserving MAHS graduates; provided annual support to Minn Aqua, 4-H Shooting Sports, and the MAHS Shooting Team; enhanced over 100 acres of upland and wetland habitats; and provided stewardship of local Wildlife Management Areas through the DNR’s Adopt-A-WMA program.  Your chapter thanks you for your support to make these awesome investments possible!

 

Goals & Objectives of Glacial Ridge PF Chapter
1.      Improve pheasant habitat and pheasant hunting opportunities in Pope County.
2.      Involve local youth in outdoor opportunities.
3.      Increase public hunting land in Pope County.
4.      Enhance public hunting lands in Pope County with the help of state grants, local contributions and corporate PF dollars.
