Grasslands and wildlife thrive in these massive tracts of habitat being managed by prescribed fire and grazing. Explore the Tallgrass Aspen Parklands region of the state by visiting a 4,200 acre pasture system in Kittson County, cooperatively managed by the Nature Conservancy and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. Learn about how fire and grazing are balanced, as well as research being done on the site to assess native vegetation and bird populations.
