We will be discussing all the
steps of a prescribed fire from planning and permitting to field preparation to
implementing the actual burn to mop-up and assessment. Attendants will get to
see the process of the burn, preview various burn techniques, and discuss
the overall effectiveness of the burn afterwards. Prescribed fire is hard to predict the exact
date, but attendees will be given 24-48 hours notice and given the exact location
in south west Minnesota.
