We will be discussing all the steps of a prescribed fire from planning and permitting to field preparation to implementing the actual burn to mop-up and assessment. Attendees will get to see the process of the burn, preview various burn techniques, and discuss the overall effectiveness of the burn afterwards.   Wind direction, humidity and burn prescription will dictate the exact fire location within the Yellow Medicine County area.  The burn window is May 1 to May 12, we will call or email you 24 to 48 hours before the burn.  This event will have live fire as part of this class
