Let's dove hunt!
This is an opportunity for members of the Lady Birds chapter to join in on a women's dove hunt! This is a great opportunity for participants of the wing shooting clinic to put everything into practice, if you want to learn the ropes of dove hunting, or if you just want to enjoy time afield together! This hunt is for adult members only.
Sunday, September 22nd
8 AM until whenever!
North of Bismarck
We'll provide:
-Ammunition (12 or 20 gauge)
-Dove decoys
-A tailgate grilling of dove poppers; bird dependent
-Dog power
You should bring:
-Shotgun; 12 or 20 gauge works great (let us know if you need to borrow one!)
-Hearing protection
-Bucket, stool, or chair to sit on
-Weather appropriate clothes (long pants) & closed toe/waterproof shoes
-At least one article of blaze orange; a vest or a hat (let us know if you need to borrow some!)
-Any water, snacks, sunscreen or bug spray you might need
*ND license and HIP registration is REQUIRED*
small game license, general game and habitat license, and a fishing, hunting, furbearer certificate

More details:
-Hunting dogs are welcome to join if they're safe with other dogs and people, have already been exposed to gunfire, and are at minimum steady to shot until released

-Dove hunting is fairly casual and doesn't require much at all for gear, camouflage is not required!
-A private landowner has generously granted us access to their field; please remember to treat this property as if it were your own!
-We'll park alongside the road near the access of the field and have a short walk to where we'll hunt
