Nobles County Pheasants Forever Hands-On Habitat Workday
If you’re looking for a chance to roll up your sleeves and do something positive for habitat, there’s a great opportunity coming up this weekend. The Nobles County Chapter is hosting a Hands On Habitat workday at three Wildlife Management Areas near Worthington. Three other chapters so far are also joining forces for the event, part of the DNR’s Adopt A WMA program.
Groups will be leaving from the Worthington Hy-Vee Parking lot at 9:00 a.m. Saturday June 10. Volunteers will be doing sign work, fence removal, invasive tree removal and general trash pickup. There will be something to do for everyone. You’ll need to bring work clothes, safety glasses and gloves. All other equipment, lunch and water will be provided.
As a bonus, a DNR photographer and videographer will be on hand to document this great event.
