The Wisconsin Monarch Collaborative, Valley Stewardship Network, and Pheasants Forever will be hosting a free 2 hour workshop to discuss prairie restoration strategies such as: what, how, where, when and long term management. Information about available cost-share programs and technical assistance will also be provided.
After the workshop there will be a prairie walk on an established prairie to identify plants and discuss history of the project. Opportunities for 1 on 1 discussions and to arrange for in person follow up meetings will be available.
Light snacks and water will be provided.
The organizers especially invite landowners interested in enhancing their recreational acreage, farmers who want to plant field or strip prairies, and conservation easement holders that are interested in beginning restoration projects on their property.
