The Valley of the Sun Quail Forever Chapter will be hosting our annual group quail camp at Lake Roosevelt, Az, just a short drive from the Phoenix metro. This will be a great opportunity for new and experienced upland hunters to gather and enjoy a couple days in the field. We make the best attempt to pair up hunters without dogs with those with dogs and will give hunters new to that area some guidance on places to go.
The chapter will provide dinner Saturday night, which will give everyone the chance to reflect on the day's hunting. BYOB for dinner.
Please reserve a camping spot at Cholla Campground. We have reserved campsite 83, so if available, book spots as close to that location as possible. Cholla Campground, Tonto National Forest - Recreation.gov
Items to bring:
Camping gear (check weather conditions)
Hunting clothing (again, check weather conditions)
Good hiking boots
Shotgun and ammo- 7.5 shot is a good shot size.
AZ hunting license (late mourning dove season will be open then, so make sure to have your AZ migratory license if you plan to harvest doves).
Optional:
Dog and dog field gear.
Questions, please contact Taylor Lee at taylorklee12@gmail.com or 701-870-2735
