Join SD GFP, the Missouri River Central chapter, and Dakota Hot Spots for a 2day mentored learn-to-hunt event focused on adults newly interested in the sport of pheasant hunting.This is a free event open to individuals at least 18 years of age who are interested in hunting and the outdoors. Prefernce is given to those with little-to-no hunting expereince. Small Game licenses will not be provided and will need to be purchased by participants (we will provide direction).
Two day event at Dakota Hot Spots lodge in Kennebec South Dakota, beginning 9am October 1st with a mandatory orientation and safety briefing. We will provide all gear required, meals, lodging, etc.
Hunters can expect to learn firearm safety, hunting ethics, how to improve shooting skills, basic first aid, how to properly field dress birds and skills for cooking wild game.
