Shotgun Clinic
In preparation for the Yuma Dove Season we are offering several practice shotgun meet ups at the Yuma Trap and Skeet Club at Adair Range.
The events are held Saturday or Sunday morning and we will have our own range reserved for us.
Due to the summer heat we try to start early and are asking you to be there right when the range opens at 6:45 -7 AM at the latest to complete the sign-in process. We usually stop shooting at around 10 AM.

Items to bring:
- Eye and ear protection (ear plugs only; no ear muffs, please, they get in the way)
- hat/cap with visor (to protect from sun and flying shells)
- Closed-toe shoes
- Shotgun + chokes; semi-automatic and over-under models are preferred, but a pump-action will work
- Ammo that goes with your gun (one box of 25 shells/round); I usually shoot 2-3 rounds.
- Shell pouch
- CASH (the range does not accept credit cards)
- Cold water/electrolytes
Eye and ear protection can be purchased at the range.
If you don’t have a shotgun or shell pouch, you can usually borrow one from us (please note the caliber).
Costs:
$1 Range fee for EVERYBODY
$8 per round of trapshooting for non-members
$9 per box of 20 gauge ammo (estimated, this can change)
Costs for safety glasses and foam earplugs
If you want to become a member (OPTIONAL!):
$60 for an annual membership
$6 per round of trapshooting
$60 for an 11-round punchcard (=best value!)
Our events are open to the public and we will teach you range etiquette and basic shotgun skills.
We reserve the right to shoot with us and to borrow our gear to individuals who follow all safety precautions. If we see someone not being safe we WILL ask you to stop shooting!

Directions to the range:
Follow Highway 95 east and about 15 miles outside of Yuma turn left (=west) on Adair Range Road. The club is at the first shooting range on the right.
Word of Warning: Please do not go and buy a shotgun just to participate. We rather have you try different guns and models first so that you know what you want before you spend any money.
