Southern AZ Quail Forever Family Day

Family Day for all ages:

This years event is scheduled Sat 26 Feb at the airport site at Empire Ranch.  Partners include AZ G&F, Huachuca Chapter of NWTF and Southern AZ German Shorthair Club.  Stations include trap, dog field with released quail, archery, bb gun, fly tying, fly casting, quail cleaning and cooking, G&F displays.  We will have a police dog demo and a raptor display.  Breakfast and lunch is provided.  All safety gear, equipment and supplies will be provided.  No license required.

If we don’t get more people outdoors and involved in hunting, hunting will transition to a European model where only the rich will hunt in the not that distant future.  G&F registration web site is www.azgfd.gov/outdoorskills.

Ranch is 6.6 miles north of Sonoita off Route 66, between milepost 39 and 40. Watch for brown Historic Empire Ranch sign on the side of the highway.  There will also be signage pointing to our event.
