Join us for a fun youth event! All proceeds go to benefit local chapter projects.
What is it?
Training and a day in the field for students ages 12 to 16 who have their MN DNR firearms safety certification and an adult sponsor. The day will start with a presenation from the Pheasants Forever Regional Representative and a safety briefing on gun handling. Students will be coached through some clay target orientation and shooting. We will break for lunch followed by time in the field with simulated hunting scenarios and working with hunting dogs to showcase the process of working a dog through field on live birds.
Each youth member must have (1) Adult sponsor to participate in event

*Each Youth member Must have MN DNR Hunter Certification
*Each Adult Sponsor Must have Pheasants Forever Membership (Can purchase during registration-Associate, Rooster Booster, Magnum, Sponsor, Lifetime)
Schedule for the day
9:30am - Arrival, check in
10:00-10:45am -Introductions: Pheastants Forever to introduce program, guest introduction, Pheasant and Habitat discussion from Regional Representative Will Clayton
10:45-11:15am- Shooting Instructions (classroom)
11:15am-12:15pm - Shooting Session (range)
12:15- 12:45pm- Lunch
12:45-1:45pm - Simulated Hunts with dogs (field)
1:45-2:00pm - Closing, Q&A, favorite part of the day, how to participate further in Pheasants Forever
